Making Stylish Seconds Vol.1

NY Fashion Week' 11. This is how New Yorkers make their own stylish seconds and spread it throughout the streets. Not bad. Cheers

The Walking Style/ NYC

This shot is from NY fashion week'11. I personally believe that this lady has done one of the most succesful combinations you can ever do with this long skirt. And it couldn't have matched with the background any better!

Rocker Chic Vol.1

American "idol"

An exhausted woman- Kate Moss

A woman that has become a sensational model in 1990s. A woman who has created a new understanding of beauty and has made a revolution. A woman that has been on covers of all fashion magazines for about 10 times each. A model that every designer dreamt about. A woman that English fashion has been proud of. A fashion icon. A sensational model. An alchoholic&drug addict. A Mom. A designer. She has reached a "kate moss mania" and a "kate moss style"  all around the world. Kate has been a "number one" for such a long time, its even so hard to describe how she has played a giant role in fashion world. She has beaten up Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawfod who were top models with amazing curves. There was and still is a huge pressure on Kate.
However, when I saw this photo the only thing that came to my mind is Kate Moss has become a senseless fashion robot who has participated in every spot of Fahion and now it's time to let it go. You need to relax Kate. Your mechanics are stopping to work.

RougeRougeRouge

A couple weeks ago while I was doing my bio homework (WHICH GOD KNOWS WHEN I'LL NEED BIOLOGY IN MY FASHION LIFE) anyway so I was doing my assignment and then I just closed my eyes and relaxed for couple seconds/ or minutes. So I remembered how I wanted to travel on a motocycle(one of my biggest dreams) and I was thinking about my outfit. Without RED/ROUGE there'd be no passion or excitement, without leather jacket and sunglasses there'd be no confidence, without camera there'd be no memory. And without this shoe there'd be no story;) Enjoy.

Knows what she wants

A Story of a Fashion Week in Istanbul

Last week in Istanbul was all about the Fashion Week. Turkish people are super excited about it cuz its just their second year, they're fresh yet. very "fresh" so that they still very nervous how to make it more pro. All the girls around are crazy about getting invitations to these fashion shows, but only some of them can get it since the invitations are very limited unfortunately.
Anyway, so February 4th I went to this Fashion Show at 3.30. This Fashion Week turkish designers presented their 2011/2012 winter collections. The one I went was "Simay Bulbul winter 2011/12 collection" which was very succesful. Very impressing and succesful.
 The VIPs
The Simay Bulbul collection was about the variety of leather designs. As you might have noticed in my previous posts, I mentioned that leather is the hit of the season and it will be, especially for Simay Bulbul in next winter season

It was mostly dark tones and especially some kinda "dirty" pink tones, mixed with creme
Well, hair "design" was incredible. Also I adored this leather design cover. it was inspired by some origami and was succesfully filled with clothes.

The enormous golden accesories was one of the most attracting things in the fashion show, styling was very well done, i really liked it, seriously!
 styling! anything else?!
This bride dress was the final. It couldnt have a more exclusive look, it was so neat and fragile. Looked amazing. As turkish designers are developing rapidly, this dress should be competing with a Vera Wang bride designs.

Fabuluous Street Style, MY FAVOURITE PART OF FASHION WEEKS:)

 and me:)

In conclusion, another fashion week passed. New trends presented, new photoes taken, new successes made by Turkish designers. And us, fashion dreamers new inspirations got.
Once again, I approve myself that there is no other place I want to spend my career in. Fashion  World.
Congratz to Simay Bulbul
Special thanks to Doray Orgun.

The Mondrianism in Fashion Business vol.2

Well, this is exactly what I call wearing an artwork and having a Mondrianism sendrome:)
cheers

The Mondrianism in Fashion Business

Piet Mondrian. (1872-1944) A Dutch artist who made the revolution of  Modern Art. An Art of conceptional thinking I say. As a painter he seems to me a genious. His revolution started in 1922 when he did this artwork (i couldnt say just a painting! too simple). This artwork became a symbol ! In 1933 it was also a start of modern symbolism (and entertainment) in some aspect. You've probably never heard of Piet Mondrian's name but you have definitely seen this artwork before.

A composition with Red, Yellow and Blue
1922

After this artwork, people didn't just discover the world of Modern Art but they started using in an entertaining manner in 1920s! And people are still using it in interior design and most importantly in FASHION DESIGN!

YSL spring/summer collection 1996. The contrast of 3 primary colours and the black lines are giving a super attractive look and a great amount of energy.  There couldn't even be any stronger inspiration than that.

Here we go starting to play with the colours and conrast in order to have a variety and find different types of attraction through Mondrianism. Oh man

From my perspective, this is not a "ready-to-wear" dress, this is wearing an artwork. This is how you develop a business for an artist like Piet Mondrian. A revelutionist of Modern Art.

Mondrianism effect on shoe industry, I can see myself changing my walk while on these platforms..I can see how the contrast of colours can change my direction.

My analysis of Mondrian's worldwide famous artwork was that : He chose three very different colours, and I relate those colors to different types of human psychology, they are all very different, people are very different, people are associated with different things but there are always these black lines that makes come up together, maybe its the way how we are all born the same way..or maybe something else..I think even in 1922 people were really concerned about different psychologies and different characters, well I want to believe that they had other interests rather than gaining more land and attacking people.

All in all, Thank You Piet !
