The Mondrianism in Fashion Business vol.2

Well, this is exactly what I call wearing an artwork and having a Mondrianism sendrome:)
cheers

The Mondrianism in Fashion Business

Piet Mondrian. (1872-1944) A Dutch artist who made the revolution of  Modern Art. An Art of conceptional thinking I say. As a painter he seems to me a genious. His revolution started in 1922 when he did this artwork (i couldnt say just a painting! too simple). This artwork became a symbol ! In 1933 it was also a start of modern symbolism (and entertainment) in some aspect. You've probably never heard of Piet Mondrian's name but you have definitely seen this artwork before.

A composition with Red, Yellow and Blue
1922

After this artwork, people didn't just discover the world of Modern Art but they started using in an entertaining manner in 1920s! And people are still using it in interior design and most importantly in FASHION DESIGN!

YSL spring/summer collection 1996. The contrast of 3 primary colours and the black lines are giving a super attractive look and a great amount of energy.  There couldn't even be any stronger inspiration than that.

Here we go starting to play with the colours and conrast in order to have a variety and find different types of attraction through Mondrianism. Oh man

From my perspective, this is not a "ready-to-wear" dress, this is wearing an artwork. This is how you develop a business for an artist like Piet Mondrian. A revelutionist of Modern Art.

Mondrianism effect on shoe industry, I can see myself changing my walk while on these platforms..I can see how the contrast of colours can change my direction.

My analysis of Mondrian's worldwide famous artwork was that : He chose three very different colours, and I relate those colors to different types of human psychology, they are all very different, people are very different, people are associated with different things but there are always these black lines that makes come up together, maybe its the way how we are all born the same way..or maybe something else..I think even in 1922 people were really concerned about different psychologies and different characters, well I want to believe that they had other interests rather than gaining more land and attacking people.

All in all, Thank You Piet !

Countdown to Istanbul Fashion Week'11

Istanbul Fashion Week 2011. It is going to happen for the third time in this city of Istanbul. I remember last year in February, when it was gonna happen for the 1st time, the tuskish fashion society was all stressed out ..megan ryan visiting, roberto cavalli opening the shows, it was sensational. I managed to get an invitation from a designer and so I visited Hakan Yildirim for Koton fashion show. It was a very different collection, I'd say "couture" fit for "pret-a-porter".  Ofc, its hard to describe, because I was too much excited:) That atmosphere is just where I want to spend my whole life.
Anyway, here's the calendar of the fashion shows, just in case if you need ;)

Thanks to a very special friend of mine, dear D.Ö., Im gonna go to Simay Bulbul fashion show february the 4th. cant wait !!

A Bag, a Satchel Bag.

girls girls girls!!! Okay, you have probably noticed these bags in your mother's wardrobe or in her high school photographs. Well, these bags have hit the season of fall-winter2010/2011 ! and it will definitely stay for a while. These bags are super functional, practical, comfortable, stylish and fashionable! It looks very very nice and attractive.
When they say "in 20 years...in future..the next two seasons..super new...futurism.." Well, no matter what we say its not really working. Look even one of the freshest trend is the bags kept from 1960s and on. Basically your grandma's closet has the freshest trends. It is true to some extent, oh yeah  it is :)) Check out some of these bags..they look really "full of spirit:..the word is quality.

These satchel bags are from Topshop winter collection

Therefore my point is that sometimes we need to look in the past to be able to see the future.
p.s. Im predicting, in summer season the colorful satchel bags will be super popular, see the reports from fashion weeks.

Artistic spots from Barcelona "muy bien"

Bamos! Wow, its been ages since my last post. Blame it all on IB, seriously
Anyway, this is one of the most important things I wanted to share with you guys. I visited Barcelona in November,2010 ( as well as catching up with DsQuared Designers;) and that city really really impressed me man!!! Its full of Art, I've traveled a lot but I've never felt this much of Art Spirit, starting from Picasso and Dali and ending up with Gaudi's mad architecture!!! Its kinda myrical.

This is only "some" of the Gaudi's artwork. any comments?!

You walk through the tight streets of Barcelona and you turn right to the main avenue and then some random artworks jump out. As seen below. The reaction is " are you f***** kidding me?! "

                                                                  Modern Art is the word.

This bycles is one of my favourite shots. Make it black and white
and it'll become a vintage photograph. Even the bycles are very "nostalgic" I'd say

Sir Picasso's museum, the whole place is like under the impression of Picasso's brainstorming.

So go book your flights and visit Barca as soon as possible!
cheers

A New Year gift for a friend :)

Wow, its been a long time since the last time I made something. I remembered how I missed it so much. The reason I took the picture on the backgrounf of Eiffel/Paris is that its always full of nice memories that you'll never forget, so I want my friend Gunay Abdullayeva to always remember me and remember nice memories when she wear this t-shirt. Its very basic but a friend of mine said that the little detail and the red fabric supports it to look attractive enough.
 Hope you like it.
Cheers

Since Im a layer person I'd always combine it with denim or such
